I thought that I'd share a wonderful nugget....
Hey! Why should I be the only one to get encouraging news....
Recently, Liane Ray sent me the following email:
Hey John,
A Grandmother shared with me on Sunday that her adult daughter has been looking for a new church so they've been visiting several. They came to Trinity on Sunday (not sure if they're considering attending or if they were just spending the day with the Grandmother). The Grandmother said that when adult daughter went to pick up her son after the service, he immediately said, "Mom, we can stop looking. This is the church I should go to." I thought that was a great testament to the Children's Program we have and to the leaders who serve. I think this son is 4 or 5, so I'm assuming he was in PL2.
Thought you'd like to hear that at least one child left very satisfied on Sunday. : )
First of all, Liane was right... I was glad to know. Thanks for taking the time to pass on the good word.
Secondly, kudos to Rita Messina and her team in PL2. Get this... this all happened on a Sunday when, because of the single service, their normal attendance DOUBLED! In other words, when the team could have responded with great stress and consternation, they took the more difficult circumstances as a challenge, adjusted their routines, and made a significant impact on at least one family. WOW! I'm busting with pride...
Just thought you ought to know....
